Why Foundertherapy
Major Business Milestones
- Monetize traffic from both sides of the marketplace
- Stabilize engineering execution
- Increase engineering output
Architizer was initially looking to hire an internal CTO when a recruiter introduced them to FT. They had been having difficulty finding a CTO candidate that was the right fit for their firm, which was in a state of transition. The Architizer leadership team realized that FT would be better able to meet their needs and would be able to work with them to get both their product and their business on a better path. Their ultimate goal was (and continues to be) to have FT vet and onboard a high-quality permanent CTO once we have iterated on the product to achieve product-market fit. The leadership team was also impressed by our expertise in building multi-sided marketplaces, and believed we could help them figure out how to better monetize the traffic they get to both sides of their platform.
Our Role & Impact
Roles We Play
- CTO
- Engineering Execution
- Strategy & Planning
The leadership team had pivoted away from their old product, and engaged with us to rethink how to make the new product viable from a business perspective. We re-worked their product roadmap to prioritize development of features that will lead to increased revenue generation from both sides of the market. FT currently provides Architizer’s entire engineering team, and as a result we’ve been able to accelerate the rate and quality of development. We’ve recently added additional engineers to their team, enabling us to move even faster towards developing a platform that will increase their revenue-generation capabilities.
